1957. Lib served as a catering consultant for many upscale debutant
parties in the late 50s and 60s and ultimately opened her own
catering business in 1973. Since then, her catering company has
earned the reputation of being the best in the Roanoke Valley. In August 2000, Lib Wilhelm's Catering was purchased by Amy Lanham and became Lib & Amy Catering. Lib stayed on with Amy for the next two years, introducing Amy to her long list of clients and passing down the history and secrets learned from over 40 years in the business. It seems that Amy has succeeded in maintaining the standard of excellence set by Lib Wilhelm as Lib & Amy Catering has won Roanoker Magazine's Platinum Award every year since 2000. Each event, be it a wedding reception, business luncheon, party, gala, or a romantic dinner for two is customized to meet and exceed customer expectations.
